One of the special items Saddle Up sells is a self-published picture book about a Colorado horse, written by a Colorado author and illustrated by a Colorado artist. The story is about Maggie, a filly in the first few months of her life. A dragonfly named Ozzie befriends Maggie and in a way, becomes her mentor. The two become inseparable. The story follows their friendship and adventures from the beginning of summer to the first few days of fall. The ending has a very powerful message, something all of us need to remember about our loved ones.

It is truly a masterpiece as it holds something special for every age, whether it's the breathtaking pictures, Ozzie's wise words, or the smiles young Maggie brings. The mark of a good story is that it can be enjoyed by children and adults. The Horse With the Dragonfly on Her Nose is no exception. It is heartwarming, has beautiful illustrations, and the writing is superb. It will soon become a family favorite for years to come!
