Coconut Oil - Mane and Tail Conditioner
Posted by Saddle Up on Sep 1st 2016
Are you looking for a quick and easy way to start conditioning your horse's mane and tail, or at least help get the tangles out and keep the mane and tail looking nice and manageable?
Did you know that coconut oil makes a great conditioner? It can be used on dry hair to help get tangles out gently or it can be used after a bath. Best part is, it is all natural and very easy to find. Almost every grocery store carries it now!
You don't need much at all for it to work. Just take about 1/8th of softened coconut oil and work it into your horse's mane or tail and proceed to comb. It will oil the hair just enough for the comb to work through the tangles without being a hassle. It makes the hair shiny and even smells nice too!
